Hi, I first want to say hello to all as I am new to the forum. I like to tinker on the side for fun and learning. I picked up a 2009(?) Troy-bilt Bronco with the Kohler motor. There were a bunch of issues that I have worked through, but the mower does not seem to be getting a charge to the battery and I am a little bit stumped. I checked the AC voltage off the rectifier and it seems to be about 28vac as it should (or it was when I tested it at least). I tested DC off the rectifier and it seemed a bit low(12.Xv or so). I bought a new one thinking that would solve my problem. I also picked up a new battery because it was in need of one. It seems to fire up and run just fine but will eventually die as I watch the voltage in the battery drop (seems to be running on battery only I would say). Also, the voltmeter on the dash does not seem to be registering anything. At this point, what are other things I still need to be checking? I feel like it is something minor at this point. Maybe I need to open up all the wiring, not really sure. Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
